Gabby Logan, 51, revealed the secret to her happy marriage to husband Kenny, 52, and how his battle with prostate cancer affected their sex life (pictured in May).
The sports presenter and rugby star have been together for 23 years and admit they keep two duvets in the bedroom to keep each other happy.
Gabby recently revealed that she and Kenny will still be moving out of the family home with their 19-year-old twins Lois and Reuben, and the mum-of-two revealed she can now do things she's never done before.
She told Bella magazine: 'Although it's sad, it brings flexibility. You can do things you've never done before.'
Recalling when she and Kenny first started dating, Gabby added, “It reminded me of when Kenny and I first started dating.”
“We lived in Chiswick and I went there the other day and had a real flashback to our early life as a couple when we were in our 20s.”
The television presenter added that she would like to rent her house and live in central London for a few years.
It comes after her husband Kenny opened up about his battle with prostate cancer and the impact it has had on his sex life.
After surgery to remove his prostate in 2023, Kenny spoke openly about the after-effects of the treatment, which left him “black and blue” and said his sex life was “not stable.”
Thanks to his sincere confession, “many people” have told the former athlete that he has now been screened for prostate cancer.
When asked how they keep their marriage happy, Gabby admitted to The Mirror: 'He (Kenny) says two duvets!'
However, Kenny doesn't want the conversation about his diagnosis (and his sex life) to continue as it is, with plenty of headlines and subsequent debates, and his 19-year-old son Reuben has pleaded with his parents. Stop talking about your sex life.
Speaking to FEMAIL, Gabby revealed: 'Kenny really wanted to talk about it after his surgery because he felt so grateful to have discovered his prostate cancer incognito. [my] The Midpoint Podcast.'
And he said, “I had no idea about this, I had completely forgotten about it, and it's very common in men in their 50s, and at this age you should basically get tested.”
That's why he wanted to talk about it in an episode of The Midpoint. So we agreed we'd do it later, but we made some clips along the way. And he said, “Look, I want to do this, but I don't want to be the poster boy for prostate cancer.”
Gabby explained how her husband felt after the podcast, saying, “It feels like it's all over, but of course the conversations continue and the kids say, like Reuben said, 'I think what you did is really good.'” I talked about Dad's prostate cancer.
She continued: 'I think my children are used to the fact that we were in the public eye, so to speak, but they didn't really want us to get into the machinations of our sex life. I respect and completely agree.'
Even Kenny's mother commented on the issue, with the BBC presenter revealing: “His mother said: 'Oh, you're talking about your sex life again in the newspaper today.' And he said: 'Not really.' That's right, mom. It's prostate cancer.”
However, Gabby is proud that her husband talks about the problems and symptoms related to cancer and its treatment.
He continued: “Make each other laugh, respect each other's goals, dreams and hopes and never be jealous.”
The star added that “the reality of having prostate cancer and the risks of not functioning properly or not going all the way” is “a tremendously emotional thing to deal with.”
Gabby continued: 'I think it's important to talk about this because a lot of things that happen to middle-aged men affect it, how it affects your relationship and how it affects your feelings about yourself. I think that affects a lot of men.
And I think the more people can talk openly with their partners about things like this, the more they'll be able to cope.
After going to the doctor to check Kenny's testosterone levels, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Speaking to The Telegraph in 2023, Kenny said: 'Whether it's my dyslexia, my relationship, IVF, we're always open. So I was more than happy to talk about erectile dysfunction and other things because I thought, 'It's a symptom.'
Kenny continued: 'Sexually, he's not balanced. According to what the surgeon told me, this could take up to 18 months. Within a month, I had a move where he says, “It feels amazing.” So it's not consistent. The good thing is that you can take a pill that changes things.
Reiterating the need for all men his age to be tested, he said: “If I can help one person, that would be fantastic.” But I could have helped a lot of people with the coverage I had.”
