One of the major aspects of playing Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora is to enjoy the game while riding an Ikran. Because of that, Avatar fans are in for a treat when they’re finally able to explore the massive world of Pandora from the air. It would’ve been a hugely missed opportunity if Massive Entertainment didn’t include the ability to fly with an Ikran when creating the world of Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora.
However, before Na’vi can get an Ikran in Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora, they must first complete a series of quests, including the one where players must tame the creature before bonding with them.
Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora – How To Raise The Signal Kite (Hunters Hunted Quest)
Players need to raise three signal kites to progress through the Hunters Hunted quest in Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora.
How To Get An Ikran In Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora
To get an Ikran in Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora, proceed in the main quest until players reach the Take Flight quest, which will lead to the Na’vi bonding with an Ikran. Simply follow the mission on the map and meet Nefika at the entrance to the Ikran Rookery. The path is clear, but filled with lots of obstacles and fantastic scenery that will definitely delay the bonding with an Ikran.
After a short cutscene, players can proceed to start climbing the mountain and find an Ikran to bond with. But first, the way will be interrupted by a Gateway Lily. To open the gate, simply touch or shoot the two smaller leaves on each side of the big Gateway Lily. Players can use their Na’vi Senses to figure out which smaller Lily they need to interact with.
Keep following the path until the protagonist encounters Eetu. Jump down the tree to cross to the other side and shoot down the Lift Vine. Lift Vines are an acceptable obstacle because, thankfully, this mountain doesn’t have any RDA facilities.
With an Ikran hanging in front, stand slightly away from it, press the button to soothe the Ikran, and slowly walk towards it. Unfortunately, with the first meeting, players won’t get an Ikran yet, since it’s not easy to bond with one.
After following the path for a while, another Gateway Lily will appear, blocking the road. Players have to shoot down three of its leaves, two right under the Lily, while the last can be found southeast of the rest.
Even the second meeting with an Ikran will prove anticlimactic, as the creature will choose to tease the protagonist instead.
Finally, after climbing for a while, players will eventually be able to tame and bond with an Ikran and now enjoy Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora while taking the winds.
