Sony has officially announced the first free PlayStation Plus games of 2024, with these titles set to be available on Tuesday, January 2. Each month, PlayStation Plus subscribers are treated to a new batch of free games. The monthly freebies are available to all PS Plus subscribers, regardless of if they’re signed up for PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra, or PS Plus Premium.
The new free PS Plus games are always available on the first Tuesday of the month, with their reveal typically, though not always, taking place on the last Wednesday of the previous month. This is exactly what’s happened with the free PS Plus games for January 2024, which have now been revealed.
The Best Games On PS Plus Premium & Extra (December 2023)
PS Plus Premium has a library of over 700 titles, but which are the best games on Sony’s subscription service?
Starting Tuesday, January 2, 2024, PS Plus subscribers will be able to add A Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West, and Nobody Saves the World to their collections. And unlike the PS Plus Extra and Premium games, these games will remain available to subscribers indefinitely as long as they stay subscribed to the service. PS Plus subscribers that have yet to play these titles are in for a treat, as all three are great games and set the bar high when it comes to the free PS Plus games lineup for 2024.
PS Plus Free Games for January 2024
- A Plague Tale: Requiem (PS5) – January 2
- Evil West (PS4/PS5) – January 2
- Nobody Saves the World (PS4/PS5) – January 2
For those unfamiliar with the free PS Plus games for January 2024, A Plague Tale: Requiem is an award-winning action-adventure stealth game from Asobo Studio that first released in 2022. A direct sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, Requiem pushes the franchise forward in big ways, offering greatly enhanced graphics, refined gameplay, and an engrossing story to keep fans hooked from the start of the game to its end credits. Notably, A Plague Tale: Requiem does not have a native PS4 release, so only PS Plus subscribers on PS5 will be able to play it next month.
Luckily for those that have yet to upgrade to Sony’s latest console, both Evil West and Nobody Saves the World will be readily available to PS Plus subscribers on both PS4 and PS5 come January 2. Evil West is a third-person shooter game about a wild west vampire hunting organization that earned somewhat mixed reviews when it first launched in 2022, yet is often pointed to as one of that year’s most underrated games. Nobody Saves the World, meanwhile, is a co-op dungeon crawler where players are able to transform into all kinds of different characters and creatures, utilizing their unique abilities to traverse the game world and battle enemies.
On top of the free games, PlayStation Plus subscribers have a bonus freebie to look forward to in January 2024. Starting January 2, PS Plus subscribers can claim the Syrinx Collection for free-to-play game Warframe, which gets them weapons, armor, and more.
What Comes in the Warframe: Syrinx Collection Pack?
