Fortnite has launched an in-game comedy club known as JokeNite that features four comedians and is produced by Trevor Noah. JokeNite is Epic’s latest effort to expand the popular Fortnite universe even further.
In December of 2023, Fortnite launched LEGO Fortnite, a new game that can be played from within the Fortnite launcher. The ambitious expansion proved to be quite popular following its initial release, peaking at over 2.4 million players. However, since then, LEGO Fortnite‘s player base has somewhat dwindled, with its February player peak coming in at 121,000 users at the time of writing. While that number is certainly nothing to sneeze at, it’s not clear whether LEGO Fortnite has fully lived up to Epic’s hopes. Regardless, Epic seems intent on implementing more ways for Fortnite fans to enjoy its engine, and it just released its latest addition.

Fortnite launched its JokeNite comedy club, also known as The Cheese Cannery, where players can watch short comedy sets from comedians Matthew Broussard, Marcia Belsky, Scott Seiss, and Preacher Lawson. To find the JokeNite comedy club, Fortnite fans can head to the Epic’s Picks row under the Discovery tab on the game’s main menu screen, or they can enter JokeNite’s island code, which is 6296-7829-6524. At the beginning of the show, players can vote on which comedian they would like to see perform. If no votes are cast, the Mega Medley will automatically play, which is a combination of every comedian’s set. Fans can also try out JokeNite’s TV mode, which will recreate the look of a stand-up special’s production. Fortnite‘s JokeNite comedy club is available now and will remain in the game for an unspecified amount of time.

Each comedian is represented in-game by a previously released Fortnite skin, so it doesn’t appear that the comedians or Trevor Noah will be receiving their own skins. To keep JokeNite fresh in the future, it seems possible that Fortnite could eventually rotate the current comedians with new ones. However, this is just speculation. JokeNite isn’t the only new expansion Fortnite has been working on, as Epic recently announced a massive project in partnership with Disney.
The two companies confirmed that they are working on a project that will be incorporated into the Fortnite universe. The new world will be centered around content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more. Disney also invested $1.5 billion into Epic, likely making this partnership much more substantial than Fortnite‘s work with LEGO.
Rumors also indicate that Fortnite could be crossing over with the Power Rangers in the future. This will likely be a more traditional crossover event and not nearly as major as Fortnite‘s collaborations with Disney or LEGO.
