Epic Games has announced the next crossover event / update for their popular battle royale shooter Fortnite and it’s none other than the Tesla Cybertruck.
You read that right – our spaceman son’s other company that makes electric cars is now available in Fortnite during its Summer Road Trip Quest event, from now until version 30.40 on August 6th.
Here’s a look rundown on the new update and content, plus a new trailer:
Grab some friends and go on a summer road trip through these different games! The reward at the end of this Fortnite Summer Road Trip? None other than the Tesla Cybertruck Bundle and the Summer Road Trip-exclusive Baja Off-Road Decal!
GET THE GANG TOGETHER, GET THE TESLA CYBERTRUCK IN FORTNITE
Every day from July 23 to July 31, a new Summer Road Trip Quest will unlock for you and your party to complete. You have until August 6 to complete all nine Quests, so no problem if you miss the first few days!
The Quests will alternate between:
- Earning a certain amount of XP (solo or with your party) in creator-made islands.
- Earning a certain amount of XP with your party in Fortnite Battle Royale (includes normal BR, Zero Build, Team Rumble, and Reload), LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, or Fortnite Festival.
Pick most of the destinations in your road trip — the creator-made islands you visit are up to you! The Sun Sign Back Bling and Underworld Camo Wrap, some of the additional Summer Road Trip rewards.
The more Summer Road Trip Quests you complete, the more rewards you and your party will unlock in Fortnite! For example, completing three will get you the Underworld Camo Wrap, completing six will get you the Sun Sign Back Bling, and completing nine will get you the Tesla Cybertruck Bundle. Built for your future adventures! (Completing nine Quests also gets you the Beast Mode Cybertruck Boost.)
Other Quest rewards include road trip-themed Sprays — honk for Nitro! 💪
TESLA CYBERTRUCK BUNDLE
So you’ve got the keys to the bundle. What’s all in it? The Tesla Cybertruck Bundle includes:
- Tesla Cybertruck Car Body (equip it as an SUV!)
- CyberCamo Cybertruck Decal
- Matte Black Cybertruck Decal
- Stainless Steel Cybertruck Decal
- OMG Cybertruck Decal
- Cyber Wheels
Everything in the Tesla Cybertruck Bundle, plus the Beast Mode Boost, is eligible for cross-game ownership with Rocket League. You can also unlock the bundle and Boost from Rocket League’s Summer Road Trip! By completing the Summer Road Trip in either Fortnite or Rocket League, you’ll get the special Baja Off-Road Decal for your Cybertruck.
The Tesla Cybertruck Bundle and Beast Mode Boost are not exclusive to Fortnite Summer Road Trip and Rocket League Summer Road Trip, as they’ll be purchasable in the Fortnite Shop starting August 6 with v30.40. However, the Baja Off-Road Decal is exclusive to Fortnite Summer Road Trip and Rocket League Summer Road Trip.
All the other Quest reward items in Fortnite’s Summer Road Trip — including the Wrap, Back Bling, Sprays, and the “Holiday” Jam Track from Green Day* — may be available for purchase in the Fortnite Shop at a later date.
Fortnite has been available on Windows PC, Mac (both via the official website and Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
