After Friday night's “NBA Gametime Live” broadcast, the rails quickly broke Former NBA coach Sam Mitchell He teased his co-host, Chris Miles, after a seemingly harmless joke about pay.

The incident occurred during the pre-match coverage Golden State Warriors The match came about when Mitchell, 61, bemoaned basketball coaches, in this case Steve Kerr, for not winning medals at the Olympics.

“I think internationally it shows how much they value coaches – not at all. Why don't coaches win gold medals?”

“I'm surprised the coaches get paid for this program,” Miles quickly replied. “I think you should probably do better, my friend.”

The one-time NBA Coach of the Year didn't seem to appreciate the comment, and things have only gotten worse since then.

“Last time I looked at my check, it was almost close. Hey, I'm taking a donation. Why don't you take something of the money you got since you're bragging about it.”

Miles tried to make light of the tense confrontation, but Mitchell was adamant.

“Oh, sorry, did you rent your beach house? in Florida Hurricane time? Or maybe your townhouse in Buckhead? If you want to call me, come by. You're screaming and hungry, let's see. I know what you have and where you live, young friend, so you need to stop.

Miles, visibly uncomfortable, stated that the broadcast was “broken”, but Mitchell disagreed, calling himself a “truth teller”.

“You're the one crying for the poor and destitute when… should I keep going or do you want to stop now?”

Miles focuses on the game, but Mitchell continues and even threatens to reveal his home address.

“I thought you should. I told you, young friend, stop messing with me on national television. I told you about this. “Hey, what do I need to talk about since you're not home right now.”

As the broadcast continues, Mitchell finally reveals the address of one of Miles' properties. Miles went to break, but Mitchell had one more comment.
