Harris' campaign is building on the foundation Democrats have spent years building, he said.
Wickler attributes this organizing strategy to Democrats' recent state election victories over the past six years.

“We believe the messages Harris and Walz convey can resonate with everyone,” he said. “And having a messenger who can actually start that conversation and not just at the conversational level, but at the 'what's really happening in our lives and at the community level' makes all the difference.”
Wickler noted that “Wisconsin is the perennial tipping point state,” citing past electoral swings, from former President Trump in 2016 to President Biden in 2020.

“On the Democratic side, we had a real volunteer base and 16,000 people made their first voluntary transfers with the Democrats” since Harris was nominated late in the campaign.
He criticized Republicans and affiliates for “using paid canvassers, people who are hired to knock on doors but don’t necessarily have a connection to the community they’re talking to.”
