First Direct is running a hidden monthly prize draw where customers can win a £3,500 jackpot – here's how to enter

First Direct customers can stand the chance to win up to £3,500 in cash by tapping a few buttons on their banking app.

To celebrate its 35th anniversary, Challenger Bank is holding a monthly prize draw in October and November with 10 jackpots worth £3,500 and other smaller cash prizes up for grabs.

Winners of the September drawing, which took place on October 10, will receive cash this week

However, customers still have time to take part in the draws in October and November. Here's what First Direct customers need to know.

How does the draw work?

First Direct customers must opt-in to be entered into the draw.

Customers can opt-in free of charge via email or via a promotional banner within the First Direct app.

Customers only need to opt-in to one of the draws to be entered into all other draws, it is not necessary to enter each draw individually.

There are 4,235 £100 prizes and 235 £35 prizes available in each draw, as well as 10 £3,500 jackpots.

The deadline to enter the October drawing is October 31 at 11:59 p.m., and the deadline to enter the November drawing is November 30 at 11:59 p.m.

To be eligible, customers must be UK resident, aged 18 or over and have a First Direct individual or joint current account opened on or before 1 July 2024.

Customers must complete 30 debit card transactions, which do not include credit card or insurance payments, cash withdrawals, card-to-card payments or gambling transactions.

Your current account must remain open until the prize is paid.

If you close your account before cashing out your prize, you will not be eligible to receive the prize draw.

Prize drawing winners will be randomly selected by computer software on November 13 for the October drawing and December 11 for the November drawing.

First Direct will contact the winners by email within 14 days of the draw and the prize will be paid directly into the customer's current account within 14 days of the draw.
