Nintendo has announced the course and character lineup for the final wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC.
Wave 6, which is due to arrive on November 9th, follows on from July’s Wave 5, as well as previous DLC waves before it, and brings the extra course total up to a whopping 48.
The first new course is Mario Kart Wii‘s Rainbow Road, which is likely to bring back some unpleasant memories for those who’ve experienced it before.
Mario Kart Tour‘s Madrid Drive is up next, bringing the world of the Spanish capital to Mario Kart and featuring, among other things, a giant soccer stadium.
Fan favorite course DK Mountain is back too, making its return from the GameCube’s Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and giving Donkey Kong a chance to dab on some fools in the trailer.
Mario Kart Wii gets another track next in the form of the Daisy Circuit, and then it’s once again Mario Kart Tour‘s turn to contribute its Piranha Plant Cove course to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Three more courses are being added as part of Wave 6 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass: Super Mario Kart‘s Bowser Castle 3, Mario Kart Tour‘s Rome Avanti, and Mario Kart 7‘s Rosalina’s Ice World.
That’s not all, though. Four new characters are also making their debut in this DLC wave.
Diddy Kong and Funky Kong make the transition from the Donkey Kong series, and that’s probably about as close as you’re going to get to Diddy Kong Racing 2.
Your final two new characters are Peachette, a rather curious Toadette variation, and Pauline, the mayor of New Donk City in Super Mario Odyssey.
That’s all for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe‘s Booster Course Pass, and this is likely to mark the end of Mario Kart 8‘s DLC run, but it’s been a very solid one indeed. We’ll have to wait and see what Nintendo’s plans for the future of the franchise might be.
