Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) is finally coming to Xbox consoles this month.
The beloved MMORPG is finally coming to Xbox Series X|S in open beta on February 21st around 12 AM Pacific / 3 AM Eastern.
The trial and open beta won’t require an Xbox Game Pass subscription, however the full game will (the PlayStation version doesn’t require PlayStation Plus).
Players will finally be able to join Eorzea on their Xbox for the first time, and will have access to all the content available in the free trial. Progress made on the open beta will also carry over when the game makes a full release on the Xbox console.
Square Enix announced earlier last year that the popular MMORPG would finally be coming to Xbox, after previously being exclusive to PC and PlayStation. The servers are cross-platform and PC players, PlayStation players, and Xbox players should be able to play together.
Now is the perfect time to play and catch up on the story, the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker expansion is near the end of its cycle and fans are eagerly awaiting the new Dawntrail expansion set to release this summer.
Final Fantasy XIV is available now for the Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Microsoft Windows (through Steam), and finally on Xbox Series X/S. You can check out our review of the latest expansion Endwalker here.
