Today Square Enix announced the upcoming release of a rather spectacular Final Fantasy XIV figure for those who want a piece of the game’s lore on their shelf.

The figure, which is part of Square Enix’s high-end “Meister Quality” series, portrays Hydaelyn and Zodiark, who are at the center of the game’s story until the Endwalker expansion.

It can be pre-ordered in Square Enix’s North American, European, and Japanese stores and it isn’t exactly cheap, costing $359.99, €369.99‎, or 39,600 yen depending on where you live.

The release window is March 2024, and the measurements are 9.06 inches height, 13.58 inches width, nd 11.42 inches depth.

In this page you can see images of a prototype from all directions.

As a bonus, those who purchase the figure will receive a code for the in-game item “Ballroom Etiquette – Apocalyptic Charades.”

For those unfamiliar with the game, this will teach a character of your choice the corresponding emote which happens to reproduce the “sundering kick” performed by Hydaelyn on Zodiark.

It’s certainly pretty crazy, and you can see it in action below.

Knowing how fond some of my fellow Final Fantasy XIV fans are of emotes, this may be the real product for some, while the $360 figure is the bonus,

Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PS5, PS4, PC, and Mac, while an Xbox Series X|S version will be released in the spring, and an open beta on the live services starts in February.

The new expansion Dawntrail will launch this summer officially leaving Hydaelyn on Zodiark behind.

An official release date has not been announced. If you want to start playing before the expansion arrives, you can purchase a copy on Amazon.

Square Enix recently hosted the Fan Festival and the Eorzean Symphony Orchestra Concert in London, and we have reports about both events for your perusal.
