Today the developer of the upcoming indie fighting game Coreupt released a new trailer showing more playable fighters in action.
Specifically, while we see several characters duking it out on Steam, the stars of the show are RPG and Dragonov, of whom we get the first extensive look.
The trailer also shows the fast and stylish gameplay of this promising game, and the progress made from the previous one that showcased Gatling, Winry, Destroy, Beretta, and Sawn-Off.
Incidentally, Dragonov is supposed to be the game’s main villain. He and his cohorts are confronted by Gatling and his allies.
You can watch the trailer below and experience the game’s action, which the developer defines “flashy and over-the-top,” featuring “blistering, high-octane battles that defy the laws of physics.”
If you want to see even more about Coreupt, you can check out another gameplay trailer that showcased Gatling and Winry in action, which was shown at Guerrilla Collective in June, on top of another showing off the interesting comic book-style story mode.
The game can already be wishlisted on Steam, and it’s slated for release in 2024. It’s developed in Unreal Engine 5 and it’s said to be inspired by Marvel Versus Capcom 3. It’ll also support rollback netcode, which is always appreciated, and a demo should be coming quite soon.
A variety of modes have been promised for both solo and multiplayer gameplay, including arcade, story, and survival modes. Online leaderboards will be provided letting players compete against each other indirectly in the rankings as much as they can do directly.
Coreupt has been in development for quite some time and it certainly has progressed considerably since its reveal. If you want to see just how far it has come, you can watch another trailer from the first Guerrilla Collective all the way back in 2020.
