St. Gallen failed to exert enough advantage in its home game against Bakatopola in the Division League and ended up drawing 2-2. It will be very difficult to qualify for the European Cup now.

St. Gallen coach Enrico Masson called on his team to be more determined and efficient after the weekend's 0-0 draw with Iverdon. St. Gallen acted directly and decisively against the Serbian visitors, but they still didn't capitalize on their chances enough.

In addition to Moustapha Cissé's goals to make it 1-0 (31st) and Corsin Konietzke's 2-2 (65th) Beyond the ball, many good actions should lead to more results.

“There's more to do. I think we deserve the three points.”

On the other hand, Baka Topola, who beat Lugano 4-1 at home three weeks ago, scored at almost every opportunity. Milos Pantovic scored twice against Lugano. Twice, in the 40th and 53rd minutes, the 10th-placed Serbian league team simply broke through the St. Gallen defense. In the closing stages, Baka Topola almost had another shot on target, but goalkeeper Laurence Arti Zigi made two strong saves from Alexander Cerkovic.

The visitors didn't have any better chances in the closing seconds than St. Gallen created, including a strike from Christian Wiziger, who had been dangerous before being substituted. Despite its lack of efficiency, Glenveish's offense performed well even with William Gobert out injured. Cisse scored his first goal in nearly four months and 18-year-old Konietzk scored his first goal in just his 21st career game.

At least the 2:2 score allowed FCSG to maintain its position in the top 16. However, he must score points in the final two rounds on December 12th and 19th. The task will not be easier than on Thursday night: the Portuguese from Vitoria Guimarães are waiting at home, while Bundesliga side Heidenheim are waiting away.

“It's definitely two tough games against absolute favourites, but I have a little bit of confidence in us. A win would be enough to advance.”

November 27, 2010: On the final lap of the Dubai Superbike race, Tony Jordan collided with Pascal Grosjean and ran over him. The accident proved fatal for the French-speaking Swiss – who had just celebrated his victory at the age of 39.

The tragic accident of Pascal Grosjean (no relation to former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean) demonstrates how close joy and sorrow are. Twelve laps later, the French-speaking Swiss rider became the first rider to cross the finish line in the Dubai Superbike race. On the final lap, the 39-year-old slowed down to celebrate his victory in style. Unfortunately, third place Tony Jordan apparently failed to notice the decrease in speed and collided with Grosjean 300 meters after the finish line at an estimated speed of 200 kilometers per hour.
