Amid all the big releases in September, it’s easy to forget that Omega Force’s Fate/Samurai Remnant also released last week. Based on TYPE-MOON’s Fate franchise and developed in collaboration with Aniplex, the action RPG has shipped over 300,000 units worldwide in its first week.
Set in Edo Period Japan during the Waxing Moon Ritual, it sees Miyamoto Iori caught in a battle between Masters and Servants, eventually joining forces with Saber. Combat involves five Stances, each specializing in different techniques (Water stance attacks multiple enemies while Earth Stance offers strong defense).
Iori and Saber battle other Masters and Servants, including Jean Alter and Chiemon, but there are also activities in Akasaka, Kanda and Yoshiwara to partake in. Visit food stalls, upgrade your skills and even pet various cute animals. Fate Samurai/Remnant is available for PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more details on updates and future DLC, especially with three Additional Episodes coming with the Season Pass.
