Farmer Wants a Wife hunk Andrew Coleman has opened up about his bitter split from ex-fiancee Claire Sanders and the shocking way she ended their relationship.

The New South Wales sheep farmer, 43, said he broke up with Claire, 37, via text message after a heated conversation about their upcoming wedding.

“Claire was staying in Tasmania when she returned to the farm and suggested we talk about marriage – she asked me how I felt,” Andrew told Woman's Day.

Andrew told Claire he was feeling a little nervous before their big day, leading her to cancel the wedding entirely.

'I expressed some doubts about getting married. The next day, Claire texted me that she had canceled the wedding and had already told family and friends.

He admits that Claire's decision to end the relationship took him by surprise because he thought they were taking the right steps to deal with the challenges in their relationship.

'When I came back, Claire was as upset as I was. He told me he had work to go to Darwin and I was shocked. I thought everything was fine when I left that morning.

Andrew added that they realized they were mismatched in two key areas of their lives: financial awareness and social media use.

'Just because it doesn't work doesn't mean you should give up. “I still have hopes and dreams of settling down and having a family,” he added.

Earlier this month, Claire revealed her side of the story about why Andrew and Andrew suddenly called off their marriage.

The couple surprised their fans when they announced in July that they had ended their romance and would not be getting married in September.

The reality TV star explained that they were both stressed when Andrew's father became seriously ill.

'I annulled the marriage in July and I can't marry you to anyone. I needed some space so I moved to Darwin during the dry season and then the wheels really fell off. “It's a terrible time,” he told the WHO.
