The Fallout television series is now out and Season 1 has been met with universal applause. Fans seem to absolutely love the adaptation of the video game series, meanwhile, non-gamers have thoroughly enjoyed their first-ever introduction to the post-apocalyptic wasteland. Seeing as it’s an excellent show, it’s only natural that the player count across the Fallout video games has grown with people pumped to don the iconic blue vault suit once more.
As mentioned, the Fallout TV series has garnered critical praise. It currently boasts a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics with an average score of 85% from audiences. This is just underneath The Last of Us TV series from HBO that has 96% from critics and 89% from the general public.
The Last of Us Part 1 saw an increase in sales following Season 1 on HBO, and similarly the player count has surged for several Fallout games on Steam. You can see the rise in player counts for each Fallout game through Steamcharts.
Fallout 76 and Fallout 4 have seen the biggest 30 day gain with 874.4 and 655.2 respectively. Per Steamcharts for Fallout 4 specifically, it has gained an average player count of over 15,000 which is the highest average since August 2023.
