The new Formula 1 season is underway, which means F1 24 can’t be too far away. The officially licensed game returns to bring you every track on the 2024 calendar, and our “living document” will include every piece of information that comes out about the game.
Unfortunately, we don’t know too much about the game just yet, but we do know that we’re edging closer to the official reveal, and Codemasters and EA Sports have already dropped some new information about F1 24.
F1 24 Release Date
F1 24 has two official release dates: The standard edition drops on Friday, May 31, while those who pre-order the Champions Edition will gain access three days earlier on Tuesday, May 28.
What Is Included In F1 24’s Champions Edition?
Not only do you get three days of early access with the Champions Edition, but you also get:
-McLaren, Williams, Alpine, and Haas 2024 liveries for F1 23 Time Trials. (If pre-ordered before April 24.)
-McLaren Shadow and Alpine Esports liveries for F1 23 Time Trials and F1 24. (If pre-ordered before April 24.)
-Three days early access.
-18,000 PitCoin
-VIP Podium Pass
–F1 World Bumper Pack (50,000 in-game cash, seven-day XP boost, unique Upgrade card, F1 World in-game resources.)
-Two MyTeam Icons
-One month F1 TV Pro pass. (United States only.)
F1 24 Platforms Confirmed
F1 24 will be released on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
The news that the game will launch on last-gen consoles is a bit surprising, considering that EA Sports chose not to release the WRC rally game on them, but it’s good news for gamers who haven’t bought one of the new consoles yet.
Some claim that this is proof that there won’t be too many changes to the game, however, due to the limitations of the previous generation of consoles.
F1 24 New Features
While neither Codemasters nor EA Sports have given us too much information about the new game, Senior Creative Director Lee Mather confirmed that the game will have an “overhauled career mode” at launch, something that fans of the series have been crying out for for years.
On top of that, a new EA Sports Dynamic Handling System will also affect how the cars feel through corners, hopefully giving a fresh new feel to the on-track action.
Does The F1 24 Reveal Have A Date?
No, the F1 24 reveal does not have a date set just yet, with Mather only stating that it was “coming soon.”
That’s everything we know about F1 24 at the moment, but we’ll be continuously updating this article as more information becomes available.
