This is not the first employee lawsuit Ye (formerly Kanye West) has faced.Image: trapezoid
Ye's former assistant accused the rapper of drugging and sexually abusing her at an event co-hosted by rapper Sean Combs, aka P. Diddy. This week, she added it to the existing lawsuit.
Lauren Pisciotta reports that during a studio session co-hosted by Ye (ex-Kanye West) and Combs in Santa Monica, California, she was May have been served spiked alcoholic beverages. Pisciotta recalled that after a few sips, she felt “disoriented.”
As she entered an altered and severely impaired state, she felt her control over her body and speech diminished, according to the ongoing lawsuit, which was made available to The Washington Post and others. Pisciotta said that was the last thing she remembered from that night, and she woke up the next day feeling “physically ill and confused.”
I found out about this years later
Years later, she learned she had been sexually abused after Ye fired her, the lawsuit says. Ye's ex-wife reportedly said Ye and Pisciotta were “very close” when Ye was married. When Pisciotta asked if she could send her ex a message to let her know it wasn't true, Ye reportedly responded, “We made out once,” before reminding her of the night in Santa Monica.
The charges are in addition to a lawsuit Pisciotta filed in June, accusing Ye and several Yeezy units of wrongful termination, sexual harassment, a hostile work environment and unpaid wages.
“Embrace” as a code name for more
Pisciotta served as Ye's assistant from July 2021 to October 2022 and later served as chief of staff. When she was promoted to the new position, she was promised a $3 million raise on top of her $1 million salary. But she said she never received this. About a month later, she was reportedly fired and received a $3 million severance package but no back pay.
She claimed that while she was at work, she was the subject of Ye's conversations and text messages about who he was having or wanted to have sex with – including herself.
Ye allegedly asked her and other female Yeezy employees to “hug,” which the lawsuit alleges was code for his constant groping of their bodies. She said that once, Ye forced her to fly from Los Angeles to New York to spend his birthday with him. When she arrived at his hotel room, he “hugged” her. According to the lawsuit, the artist apparently insisted that she bring him his “sex honey,” a special potency-enhancing honey he requested before sexual encounters, including “sex parties.”
When she declined Ye's sexual invitations, she alleged that Ye offered her “false offers such as Maybachs, Lamborghinis, Hermès Birkin bags, watches, salary increases, etc.” to lure and encourage her to accept him and his sexual advances. Desire to “own” her.
Ye has not yet responded to People's request about the new allegations, the magazine reported. The rapper has been the focus of multiple employee complaints over the last year.
