With the Microsoft and Xbox Showcase up next, anticipation is high for another round of game announcements and further reveals that might pique people’s curiosity. The company has had a lot brewing over the years, along with its acquisition of major publishers Bethesda and Activision Blizzard, so it’s a safe guess they have plenty on deck ready to show.
With 30 games in tow, the Xbox Showcase is shaping up to be on the bigger ones of the season. We’ve got a rundown here of everything announced, along with each accompanying trailer, so take a look!
Every Xbox Showcase Announcement
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Kicking off the show, the recently revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 took up some sizeable time with a new cinematic trailer showcasing action cutscenes that will set the stage for the 1990s real-world inspired war to come. The trailer depicts a shadowy force infiltrating the US government, and players will be forced to go rogue for the first time.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 also received a release date announcement – launching October 25 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and day one on select Game Pass subscription plans. Aspects such as beta tests and downloadable content will now be the same across all platforms as well.
Doom: The Dark Ages
Next up, Bethesda’s rumored next entry in the Doom series is finally revealed with the announcement of Doom: The Dark Ages. Coming in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, Doom: The Dark Ages highlights the return of the Doom Slayer in a single-player, action FPS from developer id Software. As a prequel to 2016’s Doom, this new game will have players battling demonic hordes with the backdrop of a cinematic tale of gods, kings, and monsters.
The Doom Slayer will also have the ability to call upon his Altan mech to clash with massive beasts and slice through the skies on a jet-fueled, cybernetic war dragon.
State of Decay 3
State of Decay 3 saw an update with a new trailer showing off its open world zombie survival game. In this sequel, the world is now years past the time of infection, and the zombie threat continues to evolve. You’ll be tasked with fighting back, reclaiming ground, and simply surviving.
The trailer shows off some new combat, including cooperative actions, permadeath, and using vehicle doors to bear up zombies. State of Decay 3 is still in on-going development.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard
The newly named Dragon Age: The Veilguard saw a new trailer with a stylized look at the team of seven companions who will become, as the title suggests, the Veilguard. This game looks to expand on the previous entries in the series with a vibrant world, tricky labyrinths, and massive cities steeped in conflict and magic. Together with your companions, you’ll challenge a pair of corrupt gods who naturally want to destroy the world.
As the trailer suggests, Thedas is looking for someone they can rely on – that being you! Dragon Age: The Veilguard will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series this Fall.
Starfield: Shattered Space
Following up its release fall Fall, Starfield is set to see a round of expansion content with the release of Starfield: Shattered Space. The hook is being able to play a new story and explore House Va’ruun territory when the expansion launches later this year.
Additional new content coming tonight includes new locations, near gear, new bounties, and new custom content from Bethesda and community creators. There’s also official mod support, the introduction of the Trackers Alliance, and more.
Fallout 76
Fallout 76 has seen quite a boost from its various updates as well as the recent TV series on Amazon Prime Video. The Skyline Valley update features a major expansion of the world map, and players will cross the Savage Divide to travel to the reaches of Appalachia. This new region will introduce new areas, including the mysterious Vault 63.
The Skyline Valley expansion will be available across all platforms on June 12.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Turn-based RPG fans can rejoice with the reveal of Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 – a reactive RPG that features a beautiful world inspired by France’s La Belle Epoque. Taking the role of an Expeditioner, who embark on a quest to end the Paintress’ cycle of death, you’ll be exploring a fantastical world filled with deadly enemies, as well as the secrets of the past.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will launch in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
South of Midnight
Compulsion Games’ South of Midnight has resurfaced with a first-look gameplay trailer. The video shows off third-person action adventure featuring main character Hazel and her companion Catfish as they travel through a flooded delta. We see them quickly facing down one of the game’s monster Kings – Two-Toed Tom, an alligator that has his own theme song.
The trailer also shows off some combat, environment traversal, Hazel’s magic abilities, and the Deep South setting. South of Midnight launches in 2025 for PC and Xbox Series.
World of Warcraft: The War Within
Blizzard is here to remind us that the 10th expansion for World of Warcraft is upon us with the release of World of Warcraft: The War Within on August 26. A new cinematic trailer promises the opening chapter of the most ambitious story in the game’s storied history.
Pre-purchase for the new expansion is now available for PC via Battle.net.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Konami has lifted the curtain on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a modern remake of the original Metal Gear Solid 3 popularized on PlayStation 2. Take a look at the game’s visuals including gameplay rendered using Unreal Engine 5. Fans of the original will note the legacy voice lines are intact, as well be the controls. A new third-person camera and control option will also be available for newcomers.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater still doesn’t have a release date, but it’s in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Sea of Thieves – Season 13
The next season of Sea of Thieves will let you take on the role of the villain. Featuring the return of Captain Flameheart, players themselves can become the boss fight. A new world event will set pirates on Flameheart’s flagship, taking command of a skeleton crew and reaping the rewards of their deeds.
Season 13 will arrive across all platforms, including PS5, on July 24 as a free update.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
Developer A44 is back with a new game – Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, arriving on July 18 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. The game is set in the world of Kian and you will guide Nor Vanek, a Flintlock weapons expert on a quest to kill the gods that have invaded her world.
Flintlock engages classic souls-lite mechanics paired with its fast-paced battle system. Nor can make use of axes, flintlock weapons, and magic to create wicked combos.
Age of Mythology: Retold
The developers behind Age of Empires are bringing Age of Mythology: Retold to PC and Xbox Series with a first look at gameplay. Combining the best elements from the original game, Retold will feature modern real-time strategy design, visuals and gameplay.
The new trailers show off both action and divine powers, as well as some redesigned deity portraits. The team also confirmed the launch date – which will be September 4 as the first title in the series to hit console and PC at the same time.
Perfect Dark
At long last, the elusive Perfect Dark revival has seen its gameplay debut. This 2025 Xbox Series and PC release is shaping up for a fresh adventure for protagonist Joanna Dark as she descends into the game’s Cairo setting. The trailer shows off much of the game’s ecological sci-fi story, as well as the unique blending of traversal, gadgets, close-quarters combat, gunplay and stealth.
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred
The next chapter of Diablo IV hits across all platforms on October 8. The game’s first expansion is highlighted by an all-new cinematic trailer that’s set to redefine the player journey.
Players will be able to use the power of the Spiritborn – a new class that harnesses mythical spirits of the jungle for swift and powerful attacks. There will be new dungeons alongside the region of Nahantu, and Stongholds and enemies await along with new PVE co-op and Mercenary recruitment.
Fable
Next we got a new look at the highly anticipated Fable, including the first look at gameplay. Playground Games, in collaboration with Eidos Montreal, have put forth a darker look, featuring Humphry – a man who was once Albion’s greatest hero.
In this new game, he’ll be forced out of retirement when a mysterious figure from his past reappears and threatens Albion to its core. Fable is coming to PC and Xbox Series in 2025.
FragPunk
FragPunk is a new 5V5 hero shooter where you set the rules for each round by dealing special cards. This face-paced action game will feature 10 heroes, 70 shard cards, 14 weapons and 4 maps when it releases some time in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Winter Burrow
The charming Winter Burrow by Pine Creek Games is coming to PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series next year. A new trailer shows off a snow-coated open world survival game with a cozy art style and woodland environments.
Winter Burrow is aiming to challenge your time through crafting, knitting clothing, staying warm, and preparing for your foraging into the forest.
Mixtape
Mixtape is a new game from Beethoven & Dinosaur featuring high school kids embarking on their last adventure together following the end of their schooling. This game is all about the teenage wasteland and the moments that shape them. The story is packaged through various gameplay element such as skateboarding, taking photos, and features music from famous artists such as DEVO, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop and more.
Mixtape will be available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
The next installment of Microsoft Flight Simulator will arrive on November 19. A new trailer shows off some of the latest technologies in simulation, cloud, machine learning, graphics and gaming. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is said to include the most diverse fleet of detailed aircraft, the most complete representation of airports and traffic, and visually impressive version of Earth ever created.
It’s launching for PC, Xbox Series, and will be available on Game Pass.
Elder Scrolls Online
Elder Scrolls Online is celebrating a decade of adventures with a new trailer. June will see the launch of the game’s latest chapter – Gold Road – on consoles starting June 18.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure
A new entry in the Life is Strange series – Life is Strange: Double Exposure, sees the return of original protagonist Max following several years from her debut. The announcement trailer tell us that Max’s friend Safi has been killed, and she’ll be pulled into a murder mystery filled with supernatural twists.
Max’s original time rewind power has changed to one that can shift timelines entirely, so she’ll be able to explore two different realities. Life is Strange: Double Exposure arrives on October 15 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
We’ve a new look at the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle with an all-new gameplay reveal. This new look shows off a scene from one of the game’s important moments, having Indy intercept a message that sends him and a woman named Gina to the Himalayas where they discover something unseen.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to launch later this year on PC and Xbox Series.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Another souls-like game enters the fray with Wuchang: Fallen Feathers with a new look at gameplay for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series title. The trailer shows battles against grotesque abominations, drawing on ancient lore to challenge the darkness that threatens remaining humanity.
Piece together Wuchang’s lost memories and your choices will lead to several different endings determined by your choices made throughout.
Avowed
Avowed is back with a new look at its story. Obsidian’s latest details Giatta, one of the game’s four companions. As an envoy of the Aedyran Empire, you’ll be tasked with stopping the Dreamscourge – a mysterious blight taking over the frontier.
Avowed will release later this year on PC, and Xbox Series.
Atomfall
Rebellion’s Atomfall for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series is a game about a fictional storyline where you find yourself in a quarantine zone five years after a nuclear disaster.
You’ll explore the countryside, villages, and settlements where you’ll meet odd people – including wicked cults, rogue government agencies and more. Atomfall is a single player, survival action game that blends post-war Britain and elements of classic British science fiction.
Assassin’s Creed: Shadows
Assassin’s Creed: Shadows saw a new look ahead of tomorrow’s Ubisoft Forward event with an extended look at gameplay. Players will explore 16th century Japan as Naoe, and Yasuke, a powerful samurai as the series’ first playable historical figure.
The trailer shows off both protagonists in action, and how they compliment each other with their equipment and abilities, as well as the changing seasons in the game’s world. More will be revealed tomorrow at 3PM Eastern during Ubisoft’s own event.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl
A new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been revealed and shows off some of the new experiences players can expect when the game launches later this year for PC and Xbox Series. From new locations, to encounters with mutants and archanomalies, and hubs, there’s a lot to take in as the in-game footage mixes with pieces from the narrative.
Gears of War: E-Day
Gears of War: E-Day marks the last game shown and next mainline entry into the Xbox franchise. Set during Emergence Day, which occurs 14 years before the original Gears of War, E-Day features war heroes Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago returning home to face a new threat: the Locus Horde.
The announcement trailer features visuals from Blur Studio using in-game assets from Unreal Engine 5.
