While announcements, DLC, and new releases are some of the most exciting things gamers have to look forward to, the Epic Games Store free games are a weekly tradition that many players wouldn’t want to sleep on. As much as the brand-new things that the gaming industry puts out are rather exciting, the hobby as a whole can get expensive fairly quickly. That’s where the Epic Games Store and its freebies are a great resource for PC users who are looking for something new for cheap.
Every Thursday, there’s a new game up for grabs for anyone with an Epic Games Store account. Depending on the week, sometimes players might get lucky and two titles are offered instead of just one. However, for the first month of 2024, the storefront has only given away one game per week apart from the Mystery Games Epic gave out to celebrate the new year. If puzzle game fans play their cards right, however, they can have Infinifactory and Doors: Paradox to add to their collections at no extra cost.

Here’s a list of all the titles that have ever been made available for free on the Epic Games Store.
Why Players Should Pick Up Both Infinifactory and Doors: Paradox as Epic Games Store Free Games
Epic Games Store Free Game Infinifactory Explained
Infinifactory is a game where the players have been kidnapped by aliens to be forced to make the devices needed to mass-produce their machines. However, what makes this title unique is that fans are given the start and the end of each puzzle, and it’s completely up to the player how they make both ends meet. It asks those who pick up the game to have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, making it a great Epic Games Store freebie for puzzle enthusiasts.
The game is praised by fans for having quite an addictive, yet very challenging gameplay loop. It’s a common statement by players that when they reach a rather challenging puzzle they cannot solve, they uninstall and reinstall the conveyor belt-making game by Zachtronics to play it from the beginning as no matter what, it’s just that fun to work through. If fans are looking for a puzzle that gives them a free-thinking challenge, then Infinifactory is worth picking up and trying.

Epic Games Store Free Game Doors: Paradox Explained
Doors: Paradox is a rather unique puzzle game in that it gives players what feels like miniaturized video game escape rooms to solve. There are 58 little “door-o-ramas,” as the developers at Big Loop Studios call them, across 13 different locations. Compared to the more challenging Infinifactory, Doors: Paradox aims to offer a more relaxing experience to players, wowing them with the locations they visit and the little nicknacks they need to use to get the key to each door.
With its unique gameplay style, Doors: Paradox has its own unique learning curve that makes it quite challenging. While it has a more traditional puzzle design than Infinifactory, it still features a unique set-up that requires players to think outside the box. That said, it’s a good quick-play session game, as players complete the game within 5 hours and 30 minutes with ease. Still, if players are looking for something that makes them think without being too demanding, Doors: Paradox is a perfect choice.

These two puzzle games may have a lot of differences, but from just the genre to how they make players think in unexpected libraries, they’ll likely be right at home in the same player’s library. Infinifactory won’t be free on the Epi Games Store on February 1, though, so those interested in grabbing both games will need to act fast before the first game leaves. Fans can look forward to Doors: Paradox being made the next freebie, as well as the announcement of what will follow it, later that day at 11 AM CT.
