We’re at the start of a new season in Fortnite, so it’s a great time to be getting extra V-Bucks in your account. That way, you can head to the shop, peruse the new items, and be confident you can make a purchase!
With the Greek gods taking over the island in Chapter 5 Season 2, you can match their look with the new skins available. This includes the likes of new bosses Zeus, Hades, and Cerberus. As well as those looks, you can also celebrate the Fortnite x Avatar collaboration with a Korra skin.
Recently, Epic Games has been sending 400 V-Bucks to Fortnite players, and you could be eligible for it too! Find out why some players have gained this gift below.
400 Free Fortnite V-Bucks
Really need some extra V-Bucks in your Fortnite account? Well, then you could be in luck! Many players have been granted a 400 V-Bucks refund from Epic Games, which you could be entitled to as well.
This has come about due to a couple of emotes released in-game. The Side Shuffle emote was first released back in Chapter 3 Season 4 and has been a constant in the item shop ever since. More recently, in Chapter 5 Season 1, the Jubi Slide emote was released. However, that emote was removed from the item shop on the same day. Both emotes were inspired by Jubi2fye, who is a popular content creator.
Fans were quick to point out the similarity of both emotes, with some suggesting they should be sold as a bundle. Although the reason behind the quick removal of the Judi Slide emote from the shop has not been officially addressed, it appears to be because Epic Games thinks creating a bundle is a good idea!
For players that own both emotes, 400 V-Bucks have been sent to their accounts as a refund, with the following message issued:
“You own the Side Shuffle and Jubi Slide Emotes. In the future, we will sell these two Emotes in a bundle. We have returned V-Bucks to you based on the upcoming bundle price.”
Due to bundles being sold at a discounted price, players who purchased both emotes individually would have overpaid. Epic Games has acted swiftly so that isn’t the case, hence a 400 V-Bucks return.
It should be noted that only players who have both emotes are eligible for the refund. Just owning one of them will not get you a refund.
