Donald Mustard, the chief creative officer for Epic Games, announced his departure from the company after his tenure of 15 years.

“After an incredible adventure, I will be retiring from my role as Chief Creative Officer at Epic this month.” Mustard wrote. “I can’t wait to now share in the future of Fortnite as a player alongside all of you! The teams are in the best hands and they are working on huge, jaw dropping, amazing things!!!”

Unlike other recent departures, Mustard appears to be retiring from the gaming industry. He had been the CCO for Epic Games since 2016 and aided in the development of popular battle royale Fortnite.

Before that, he had been with Chair Entertainment, who was acquired by the publisher in 2008. During this time, he worked on games such as Undertow, Shadow Complex, and the Infinity Blade series. In total Mustard had been working in the gaming industry for 25 years.

No successor has been named as of this writing.
