Eden Confidential: David Furnish wants to work on new film with Godson's Damian Hurley

Damian Hurley made his directorial debut this year with Strictly Secret, starring his mother Elizabeth in a lesbian sex scene.

His godfather David Furnish has now spoken of his admiration for the 22-year-old's film and hopes they will work together soon.

'I'm very proud of him as a filmmaker, I'm very proud of him as a man,' Furnish tells me at the Attitude Awards at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London.

'Maybe we'll kick something off – I can produce, he can direct.'

At the ceremony, Furnish's husband Sir Elton John received a legacy award from gay lifestyle magazine Attitude.

Scott ties the knot

After five years of Four Weddings and a Funeral star Christine Told Scott Thomas was dating journalist John Micklethwaite, they exchanged vows.

“It's a small family wedding,” a friend tells me. Dame Christine, 64, married to French gynecologist Françoise Olivenes, plays MI5 boss Diana Taverner in TV drama Slow Horses.

Micklethwaite, 62, edited The Economist before heading financial news firm Bloomberg.

Bill cannot get satisfaction from LP

Bassist Bill Wyman isn't happy with his surprise contribution to the former Rolling Stones band's latest album Hackney Diamonds. Mick Jagger praised his playing on the Live By The Sword track.

Wyman, 87, says: 'Mick called me France and said how much he liked what I'd done, but I said to producer Andrew Watt, “Have you got another song?” I said that because I really didn't like the track they put me on.

'It seemed too busy, too much going on, there was no air in it.'

He complains: 'It didn't break, it didn't breathe, it hit all the way.'

For any women approached by a strange car at night, that good Samaritan is Chloe Madley, 37, daughter of TV presenters Richard Madley and Judy Finnigan.
