For a lot of millennials or whatever of these terms apply to 30-somethings, our introduction to martial arts and kung-fu action setpieces would have been the Power Rangers series. It was kind of cheesy but amusing, and now everyone can enjoy the latest entry with Power Rangers: Mighty Force.
This game comes from a collaboration between East Side Games Group, Mighty Kingdom, and Hasbro. That is a triad of very accomplished developers, especially when you factor in Hasbro owns Wizards of the Coast. Might some action figures be coming in the future?
There have been an awful lot of teams and characters introduced across the Power Rangers franchise, and Mighty Force is aiming to gather them all in one place. In this story-driven game, the evil sorceress Rita Repulsa is up to no good once again, and Rangers from across all generations are coming together to end her wicked plot.
With all these choices of characters it might be hard to put together a team, but when you do you will find plenty to occupy your time. Rita isn’t the only foe you can face, with daily PvP battles pitting you against other players to see who has the best strategies. Level up your team, climb the leaderboard to show your might, and reap some excellent prizes.
Outside of wantonly punching other people in the face, there will also be a host of special events to take part in. These will feature unique characters with their own storylines to follow, complete with some of the series’ most recognisable foes. Completing these will grab you some upgrades and new characters to recruit. Mighty Force combines action-packed gameplay with idle mechanics, so there will also be progress to be had.
Power Rangers: Mighty Force is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
