EA Sports has revealed the cover stars for both the Standard and Champions Edition of F1 24 prior to the full reveal scheduled for April 18 at 11:00 AM ET. The same cover athletes for F1 23 will once again be featured this year as Max Verstappen will be the face of the Champions Edition, while Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris will be featured on the Standard Edition.
Max Verstappen, the three-time World Champion, returns as the cover star for the Champions Edition. He shared the Champions Edition cover in F1 22, making it three straight years on the Champions cover. The latest Edition depicts his triumph at the 2023 FORMULA 1 AWS GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA, representing Oracle Red Bull Racing’s and Verstappen’s 2023 Formula One World Championship win.
The cover of the F1 24 Standard Edition, offered in both physical and digital formats, showcases three prominent figures from the grid: Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and McLaren’s Lando Norris. This image evokes nostalgia for fans, marking the first instance since 2018 where both drivers and their cars are prominently featured on the cover.
F1 24 will release on May 31 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, via EA App, Epic Games Store and Steam. Players purchasing the digital exclusive F1 24 Champions Edition will receive early access for up to three days, starting on May 28.
