The EA Sports FC 25 team have revealed all of the details on Rush, the new 5v5 addition to the FC franchise. While the gameplay feels similar to any match in FC 25, several key differences make Rush special. Each match starts with players rushing towards the halfway line to claim possession. The offside rule is adjusted for the smaller pitch, applying only in the attacking third.
There are no red cards in Rush. Serious fouls result in blue cards, causing the player to head to the sidelines for a minute. If the opposition scores, the player can return. Draws will lead to a 2 minute and 20 second golden goal extra time and then a unique 1 on 1 penalty shootout if the match remains tied.
Rush is available in all game modes, including clubs, ultimate team and career. In ultimate team, you control one player for the entire match, making it more personal and a complex complement to rivals and champs, while still earning rewards for your squad.
In clubs, progression focuses on team play, with wins contributing to your club’s tally and improving individual Rush ranks, leading to seasonal rewards. In manager career, Rush is integrated into the youth academy, enhancing skill games training with more control and adaptability. During matches, players can send quick messages and reactions to teammates in real-time or use the right stick to signal their movements.
