Today is Dragon Age Day, and BioWare is celebrating by releasing a new teaser trailer for the next chapter of the fantasy RPG series, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll have to wait quite a lot longer to play the game, as the trailer reveals that the game will be full revealed in the summer of 2024.
This means that a release next year is now less likely, albeit you never know. This is just my personal speculation, so you should take it with the traditional grain of salt.
We’re not completely left high and dry, as the trailer does provide a look at a few locations of the game. Specifically, we get to see the coast of Rivain, the rocky Anderfels, and the city of Antiva,
You can watch it below and see if it quenches your thirst, at least for now, since we likely have at least one more year to wait.
Yet, the trailer is not all we get, as Electronic Arts also released the Steam page for the game for your wishlisting pleasure It isn’t much, but we get an official description of what we can expect.
Welcome to Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Enter the world of Thedas, a vibrant land of rugged wilderness, treacherous labyrinths, and glittering cities steeped in savage combat and secret magics. Now, the fate of this world teeters on a knife’s edge.
Thedas needs a new leader — one they’ll never see coming. You’ll forge a courageous fellowship to challenge the gathering storm. Friendship, drama, and romance will abound as you bring striking individuals together into an extraordinary team. Become the leader and light the beacon of hope in their darkest moments.
It’s pretty much what we expect from the new Dragon Age game, which has been teased for many years.
We saw multiple teaser trailers at events like Gamescom and The Game Awards, while the title Dragon Age: Dreadwolf was originally revealed over a year ago, in June 2022.
Last time we heard about it from BioWare, it was October 2022, when the game reached its alpha stage. All we can do is keep waiting, and hope that this game and the new Mass Effect teased a few weeks ago will mark the beginning of the beloved RPG developer’s rebirth.
