Dr. Disrespect has long been one of the most outspoken creators within the online gaming space, gaining success for his skill at shooters like Call of Duty. Dr. Disrespect has built up a streaming empire that has seen him release a book, collaborate with the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, and even start his own video game studio in Midnight Society. Now, Dr. Disrespect has some choice words for Activision.

Activision recently unveiled its “Blaze Up” event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, featuring a plethora of new cosmetics themed around marijuana. The event is set to celebrate the “4/20” holiday on April 20, an unofficial holiday celebrated by marijuana enthusiasts. The Modern Warfare 3 event has already revealed multiple exclusive gun skins and charms tied to the event, alongside new Operator skins based on popular comedians Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong. Now, however, Dr. Disrespect is taking aim at Activision with regards to the new event.

Dr. Disrespect regularly features the Call of Duty games during his streams, even becoming part of the first team to get a nuke victory in Call of Duty Warzone‘s Season 2. His familiarity with the games goes beyond his streams as well, with Dr. Disrespect formerly serving for four years as a Community Manager for Call of Duty developer Sledgehammer Games.


While Dr. Disrespect is known for his outspoken personality, the creator’s infamous Twitch ban remains one of the most well-known events of his career. He recently revealed that the fallout from the Twitch ban resulted in Dr. Disrespect losing several major sponsorships, including massive brands like Nike. Dr. Disrespect has often openly criticized Twitch for the permanent suspension, going so far as to refer to the site’s management staff as “slithery, disgusting purple snakes.” Despite the ramifications of his permanent ban from Twitch, Dr. Disrespect has remained one of streaming’s most recognizable figures.
