'Dolphins' star Tua Tagovailoa's wife supports Trump and makes hateful comments about her husband's brain condition

Brittney Mahomes has company in the NFL quarterback wives' club who support Donald Trump.

Wife of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua TagovailoaOn Wednesday, Annah Tagovailoa posted an article on her Instagram in which she praised former President Trump's proactive response to Hurricane Milton.

He reposted a video by conservative influencer Benny Johnson, which shows footage of the former president hosting 275 Florida Power and Light linemen at the Trump resort in Miami. Trump welcomed the workers free of charge, providing them with a safe place to wait out the hurricane as it made landfall in the more northern part of Florida.

Tagovailoa's post follows a trend set by Mahomes, the wife of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who began showing support for Trump in mid-August. Mahomes liked a post on Trump's political platform on Aug. 13, and a few weeks later he posted a comment on one of his Instagram posts that read, “TRUMP-VANCE 2024.”

Mahomes was hit with hate after screenshots of him depicting Trump's political platform spread on social media to the point where he had to post multiple posts speaking out against the hate he received.

Although Tagovailoa received praise for her post, there were some negative comments towards her and her husband, Tua Tagovailo.

Much of the negative commentary has focused on Tua's recent injury, which he suffered in Week 2 of the season against the Buffalo Bills. It was the quarterback's third concussion of his professional career and sparked widespread concerns about his long-term brain health and his future in the NFL.

“It looks like he has a concussion too,” one X user wrote in response.

Another user wrote, “Her brain is as smooth as her husband's.”

Tagovailoa suffered two concussions in one season in 2022.

Tagovailoa was placed on injured reserve on September 17 after his latest injury. Concerns about CTE and further brain damage have sparked calls from fans, sports advocates and media pundits for the quarterback to retire from football. The NFL has not yet made a decision on when or if the quarterback will return.

Dolphis said head coach Mike McDaniel said Tagovailo told reporters this week that the quarterback would meet with brain health specialists during the team's bye week because he had not yet approved the concussion protocol. Asked if the team was advised to keep Tagovailoa longer even after allowing him to return, McDaniel said he “didn't hear anything negative” from the experts.

Tua and Annah met while attending the University of Alabama and reportedly secretly married in July 2022. Since Tua joined the NFL, the couple has chosen to keep their relationship a secret from the media. The couple has two children together: son Ace, born in August 2022, and daughter Maisie, born in 2023.

Born Annah Gore in 1999, Annah is from North Carolina. He attended the private Catholic school St. Gertrude High School in Virginia and then attended college in Alabama.

Meanwhile, Tua was born and raised in Hawaii and attended a private Catholic school in Honolulu called St. Louis School.

Tua met Trump in person when he and the Alabama Crimson Tide visited the White House in 2018 after winning the College Football Playoff national championship.
