If you are a part of the card game community, chances are you’ve heard of the Disney Lorcana TCG. A new card game so popular, multiple retail stores and platforms are having trouble keeping it in stock, despite reprints. Thankfully, Amazon will be addressing these demands with a new queue system.
The Disney Lorcana TCG Amazon queue
According to an official press release, this online Amazon queue for the Disney Lorcana TCG will be the very first of its kind. Until now, there has been no such system in place for a board game, card game, or toy on the Amazon platform.
The queue works like this. Starting at 9 AM PST, buyers can sign up for the virtual queue on the official Amazon pages for Disney Lorcana TCG and Rise of the Floodborn product pages. Once signed in, those potential buyers will be put into a lottery system.
Once the queue is closed, people will be randomly selected to get an “invitation” via email. That individual will then have 72 hours to confirm which products they would like to purchase. If they do not reply within 72 hours, someone else will get an invitation to their spot.
This queue will be available for several days, but will only be open to users in the United States. The only products available for pre-order will be the Disney Lorcana and Rise of the Floodborn Starter Decks (Amber/Sapphire and Amethyst/Steel) and Booster Display Boxes.
Lastly, there will be a purchase limit of two per product.
This isn’t the first time Amazon has implemented this online queue system on its platform. At the height of its release, Amazon provided a similar system for Sony’s PlayStation 5 console.
