The Voice 2023 winner Taryn Stokes told Daily Mail Australia that she hasn't heard from her on-screen mentor Rita Ora in months.
Outgoing coaches Rita Ora, Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo did not reprise their roles on the popular show.
According to a producer, the reason for the switch-up was the stars' desire to cut down on paychecks and producers' expenses.
The insider added that the salary increase was necessary to keep the returning stars on the show and that the price for the previous crop was 'too expensive'.
Jessica, Rita, and Jason were very busy, but I don't think anyone is too busy to pick up these kinds of paychecks.
'Certainly has a lot to do with cutting costs.'
