'Didn't do anything': Senate GOP hopeful criticizes Democratic rivals for failing to hold Biden-Harris accountable on key issue

LAS VEGAS — Republican Sen. John Kennedy kicked off Nevada Senate candidate Sam Browne's campaign to talk to Fox News Digital about why he believes the Biden administration's policies have struck a chord with voters in key swing states

“The number one issue that people are worried about over the last few years is the economy and how this Biden-Harris economy has put so much pressure on individuals, on families,” war veteran Captain Sam Brown recently told Fox News. Digital at an event with Senator Kennedy Las Vegas.

“For example, the average Nevada family pays $1,200 more per month now than it did four years ago. When there are older people who have to leave retirement status and go to work because they can't make ends meet, they can't pay the rent. for your children to eat. Maybe this isn't right.

Brown explained that the second issue he is drawn to by voters is immigration.

“Problem number two is this border crisis,” Brown said. “Vice President Harris was the border czar, he allowed this crisis to happen, and Senator Rosen sits on the Homeland Security Committee. He should be held accountable. He was supposed to provide leadership and resistance against an administration that allowed, as we now know, 400,000 into this country, and he did nothing, only visited the border once and it is unacceptable for anyone to represent his people and complete the mission.”

Brown, a combat veteran who was seriously injured in an IED explosion during a deployment in Afghanistan in 2008, is running against incumbent Dem. Sen. Jackie Rosen is in a race that could play a key role in determining which party controls The Senate Cook Political Report characterized the race as “lean Democratic.”

Kennedy told Fox News Digital that he felt it was important to travel to Nevada and support Brown because the war veteran is a “rock star.”

Kennedy said: “He’s a beast. He looks cool. We need him in the United States Senate.” “The people of Nevada need him and deserve him. The people of Nevada deserve the right to go to the grocery store without being sold blood plasma first so they can afford it, and Sam will help us fix that.”

“The people of Nevada deserve to be able to pay their rent or mortgage without first withdrawing their retirement accounts, and Sam will help us fix that in Washington. The people of Nevada deserve to retire before 1994 for God's sake and when they retire they should live in back yard tents and not eat cat food, and that is a direct result of the problem I described. A direct result of inflation caused by Democrats in control over the past four years.”

Brown told Fox News Digital that the energy he's seen in his campaign is “tremendous.”

“This is a battleground state in the presidential race, a battleground state for the Senate,” Brown said. “When we win this race, we will get the majority. When President Trump wins, he will be in the White House. People are excited because they need change. They're desperate for change, and Jackie Rosen, as a senator, is bringing those people in when I'm running for them.

Kennedy told Fox News Digital that he thinks the presidential race between Harris and Trump will be “close” in Nevada, but that he thinks Brown would be a “great senator.”

“I mean, the guy is a war hero, he’s a West Point graduate, he’s a graduate of SMU business school, he’s a businessman, he’s a good father, he’s a good husband, he’s a smart whip,” Kennedy said. “You’re going to be stuck between Sam Brown and what’s best for Nevada. He’s going to eat you like a snack, man.”

“At home in Louisiana, we say he’s tough as a $3 steak and the people of Nevada need him and deserve him. They've been through a lot. This bunch in Washington, D.C., their whole plan for the last four years, the Democrats, we're going to do the worst we can.” It won't work. They screwed the American people like fish with this inflation and we are going to fix it. Help lead the attack.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Rogen's campaign for comment but did not receive a response.
