Bungie released Destiny 2 update 7.3.4.2 with various adjustments and changes to the Chivalric Fire ritual weapon, Stormcaller Warlocks, and the Riven’s Wishes activity. The latest Destiny 2 update lets players reacquire Chivalric Fire from Collections, but the community may want to wait until a future update before pulling the ritual weapon.
Destiny 2 Season of the Wish is underway as the game’s last-ever season leading into the launch of The Final Shape Expansion. Although the season was extended to compensate for the delay of The Final Shape, Destiny 2 players can still expect a steady stream of new content and updates in the first half of 2024. Most recently, Bungie introduced new Mass Effect collaboration content in Destiny 2, including free gear for all players to claim.
Destiny 2 Giving Players Rare In-Game Item for Free
After teasing a unique emblem for the Lunar New Year earlier this month, Bungie is giving all Destiny 2 players a way to earn it for free.
Bungie’s latest blog post reveals patch notes for Destiny 2 update 7.3.4.2, confirming that the Chivalric Fire legendary sword may now be reacquired from the Collections menu. However, Bungie will implement a subsequent fix to the ritual weapon in update 7.3.5, allowing Destiny 2 players to pull the fully masterworked version of Chivalric Fire from Collections. Those wanting to use the weapon in Destiny 2 playlist activities may want to wait until the release of update 7.3.5, since the masterworked version features improved stats.
Destiny 2 Addresses the Stormcaller Warlock Ball Lightning Bug and Riven’s Wishes
The new Destiny 2 update fixes an issue involving the Stormcaller Warlock’s Ball Lightning melee projectile. Previously, Ball Lightning would fail to spawn if the player activated the ability after performing a slide cancel. This bug would leave Stormcaller Warlocks open to an attack from opposing Guardians in the Crucible, resulting in many upset players in recent weeks. Fortunately, the Ball Lightning melee ability should activate normally after canceling a slide now.
The requirements for Destiny 2’s Riven’s Wishes activity have been adjusted after receiving player feedback, but Bungie did not elaborate on the exact changes that were made. Moreover, a fix was applied to Exotic armor pieces that can be awarded for completing the Riven’s Wishes activity, preventing the minimum base stats from being shown in Collections.
Bungie’s last fix for Destiny 2 update 7.3.4.2 addresses a lingering issue from the Starcrossed Exotic mission. Before the update’s release, a bug prevented some players from unlocking the Supernova Sprint Triumph after completing Starcrossed in less than 20 minutes. Destiny 2 players should be able to redeem the Triumph as intended after installing the new update.
