Derelict Iron

The hunt for Fe. (Was that too geeky?)

What Is Iron?

Iron is a valuable resource in Derelict, used primarily to upgrade weapons and armour. You’ll want to try grinding for Iron as early game as possible. Past the introductory, you’re left to fend for yourself against the hostilities of the land. With dungeons and bosses ahead, we recommend you spend some time in the caves where Iron can be located.

Where Is It?

Hopefully, by now you are at least a little familiar with the locations around Derelict. If not don’t worry as we covered the Derelict Map in a different post. But, you will need to head to the Feeding Grounds, which is possibly one of the most important areas in the game. Most of your grinding can be done here to increase your Mining Level, and of course, importantly, find Iron!

From the Bonsai facing West, you’ll see the ribcage that resides at the Feeding Grounds. Take the path that’s to the left of the ribcage and head below the bone remnants. Here you should find the Snails Nest, which is to the right of the Nest, and under the ribcage are The Salt Caves. Within these caves is where you can mine Iron.
