Dead Island 2 was anticipated for many years. It went through severe development hell but it finally launched in 2023 and was a fairly enjoyable experience. It was a fun zombie-slaying thrill ride, and Dead Island 2 is now available on Xbox Game Pass. This is fantastic news for subscribers, but there are even games set to join the subscription service before February 2024 ends.

In our Dead Island 2 review, we praised the game for its ‘bright, bold, and brash’ visuals combined with its extremely satisfying limb-chopping combat. It’s true that the game is sadly plagued by annoying characters that are about as funny as roadkill, but the experience is still thrilling from beginning to end thanks to all the gore and brutality.

If you were hesitant about buying the game for whatever reason, the good news is that you can now experience the game for free provided you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber.

Is Dead Island 2 on Xbox Game Pass?

Yes, Dead Island 2 is available on Xbox Game Pass. However, in order to play the game, you need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. This costs £12.99 a month rather than the Standard £7.99 per month option still available on PC.

In addition to joining Game Pass, there are exclusive rewards available to get. Per the game’s official website, you need to link up with PROS to get these rewards. These PROS rewards include the Trickster’s Smile knife, as well as the legendary Malibu Nightstick bat unlocked by dismembering 1,000 limbs.

As for Twitch Drops, the rewards include Dusk Dani and the FOMOrian Claws.
