Dead by Daylight is finally giving players a big reason to grab content they may have missed. Starting January 8, 2024, the game will introduce a Gold Edition alongside three new DLC Packs. This will replace the old system, but there’s still time to buy individual chapters.

According to the Tweet and blog post, The Gold Edition serves as the ultimate collection for Dead by Daylight enthusiasts. By bundling all three new DLC Packs together, the publisher says they can offer the original content at a significantly reduced price. While we don’t know the price of the Gold edition yet, we do know it costs $60 to buy all three DLCs.

Each DLC offers a selection of original Chapters, they are below:

  • Maddening Darkness
    • Of Flesh and Mud, Spark of Madness, Curtain Call, and Shattered Bloodline
  • Old Wounds
    • Darkness Among Us, Demise of the Faithful, Cursed Legacy, and Chains of Hate
  • Macabre Tales
    • Descend Beyond, A Binding of Kin, All-Kill, and Hour of the Witch

While Dead by Daylight‘s individual Chapter DLCs will no longer be available in first-party stores after January 8, you can still find the content. All Killers, Survivors, and cosmetics from these Chapters will still be available in the in-game store. This just means the chapters themselves will be in new packs.

The in-game store remains a valuable resource for those wanting to choose specific content. Dead by Daylight is holding sales on individual Chapters throughout December. This allows players to snag their desired content at a discounted price before the new system takes effect.

So, if you’ve been waiting patiently to buy older chapters, now is your opportunity. The DLC packs will take effect after January 8, so the time to be picky is now. Behavior Interactive released an FAQ about the change if you have questions about it.
