Dead by Daylight has added yet another major IP to its ever-expanding list of crossovers with the addition of Lara Croft to its roster of playable Survivor characters, but on top of that, players also have additional, significant features to look forward to.
Chief among them is a new limited-time 2v8 mode, which, as you have have guessed, takes your regular Dead by Daylight game and doubles it on both sides, pitting a group of eight Survivors against two Killers. The mode will cover five maps, each of which has been expanded for its larger player count.
Additionally, players can also expect plenty of other changes to the core gameplay, including the removal of Perks and Hooks, generators having been doubled and Survivors now needing to repair 13 of them instead of eight, downed Survivors being sent directly to cages, a new class system, and more. The 2v8 mode will go live on July 25 and remain up until August 8.
Meanwhile, Behaviour Interactive has also announced that cross-progression is also finally coming to Dead by Daylight. Starting July 22, you will be able to carry over all of your progress in the game across all platforms, as long as you’re signed in to your Behaviour Interactive account.
