Dead by Daylight has built up a reputation as the ultimate crossover of horror properties, having roped in playable characters from several major media franchises over the years, though its latest addition isn’t necessarily from the horror realm. Lara Croft, the protagonist of the Tomb Raider franchise, has joined Dead by Daylight.
She joins the multiplayer horror title’s roster of playable Survivor characters, and though she obviously doesn’t come equipped with any of the weaponry you’ll be otherwise used to seeing her with, she will come with three entirely new Perks being introduced to the game, each highlighting her unique skills as the acrobatic archaeologist we all know her as.
Additionally, Behaviour Interactive has also announced that Dead by Daylight is getting a limited-time 2v8 mode and cross-progression. Read more on that through here.
The company has also announced the release date of The Casting of Frank Stone, a single-player horror adventure game set in the Dead by Daylight universe, developed by Supermassive Games of Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures fame.
