SpongeBob fans are not impressed with Wendy's new take on the Krabby Patty – with some calling the $14 meal a 'scam'.
In celebration of the popular cartoon's 25th anniversary, the fast food restaurant has partnered with Paramount to launch the highly anticipated 'Wendy's Krabby Patty Kollab' meal.
On October 8th, the first SpongeBob-inspired burger was prepared and customers eagerly waited in line to place their order.
But when some people finally got the chance to sample the meal, which included a cheeseburger, a side of fries and a 'Pineapple Under the Sea Ice', they were sorely disappointed.

In a video that has over 2.4 million views, TikTok user Noah offered his brutal take on the collaboration.
“We're being completely fooled with this Krabby Meal shit,” Noah narrated.
In the video, text appeared that said: 'Don't buy the crab burger, it's a scam.'
Noah initially directed his criticism at the Krabby Patty itself, saying it was just a “Dave's Double with some Big Mac sauce.”
According to Wendy's, there are a few differences between the SpongeBob-themed burger and the Dave's Double.
But the slippery distinction ultimately comes down to the number of slices of cheese, the types of sauces used, and the amount of meat.

Wendy's has drawn criticism for its Krabby Patty meal, which comes with pineapple under sea ice
Noah was equally disappointed with Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty.
“This ice cream is horrible,” said the TikToker, stirring the drink’s viscous, yellowish substance.
“Mine was incredibly watery and all they did was take vanilla ice cream and put some pineapple goo in the bottom.”
According to Wendy's website, Noah wasn't far wrong here. The Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty is indeed made from iced vanilla and “swirl of mango and pineapple flavored puree.”
The fast food restaurant hailed this combination as a 'first-of-its-kind Frosty flavor innovation'.

Noah continued to throw away his meal, telling viewers that “of course your fries were cold.”
'There is nothing nice about this meal. There’s no special box,” he said, showing the regular Wendy’s bag to the camera.
“They’re cheating us out of $14 for this shit,” Noah said as he threw the meal in the trash.
“Wendy’s, I’m disappointed,” he said at the end. 'What the fuck is this?'
In the comments section, viewers lamented their disappointing experiences.
“They burned my shake,” said one user.
“I got a Krabby Patty meal for all four members of my family, so we're talking almost $50 a meal,” another person wrote, before adding “it was so disappointing.”
Other viewers defended Wendy's and attributed Noah's disheartening experience to the specific location he visited.
“I think it depends on where you go in terms of packaging because my brother just sent me a photo of the entire meal and it came in a fun box and some cool packaging,” someone commented.

In its press release, the fast food company said: “In a world where people save money, Wendy's is known for quality in everything we do.
“So it makes sense that two of the most iconic places in pop culture are coming together to bring this unique, limited-time experience to life for fans of all ages!”
