The Friends and Foes release date for Crusader Kings 3 Console Edition is right around the corner, exciting many fans of the roleplaying strategy game. The game is not only getting new content, it’s also receiving some much-needed updates for a better overall experience.
This particular DLC for CK3 came out two years earlier on PC, so console owners will be getting the update free of charge. If you have the game on PS5 or Xbox, then this update will definitely be worth looking into.
When does CK3 Friends and Foes come out on consoles?
The DLC is set to come out on August 26, 2024 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Friends and Foes is an event pack that adds events and flavor content to make your playthrough feel a little more personal as you get to know the characters around you.
The playable content in this pack will focus on developing relationships between characters. You can become friends with your favourite NPCs or develop bitter rivalries with those you aren’t so fond of. This can all be done as you go through over a hundred player-driven stories.
Game updates
Aside from being able to play the DLC for free, this update will include some fixes that many CK3 console players have been asking for. According to an admin post in the official Paradox Forum, the update will include the following changes:
- Save files will get re-worked logic to reduce save corruption by a significant amount.
- General resource management will receive a major overhaul for improved game stability.
- The game’s maximum speed will be increased.
The post also mentions that a full changelog will be released on the same day as the Friends and Foes console release. The changes listed above are already pretty huge, but more game-enhancing tweaks are always welcome.
