Clear your schedule for the rest of the rest because I know what you are going to be doing; taking part in the global playtest for CookieRun: Tower of Adventures. The test is available until November 26th on Google Play Games on PC ahead of its full launch in 2024.
Cookie connoisseurs will be able to play through two chapters of the Story Mode; Jelly Forest and Caves. You can either tackle them solo or in co-op mode. There is even a four-player Raid Mode where you can take on massive boss monsters. It is quite a comprehensive test.
Story Mode will see you ascend the rather delicious-sounding Pancake Tower, beating a series of stages and uncovering a host of lore. We have all played stories before, your standard fare. Every chapter has its own unique challenges and monsters to face, as well as treasure chests and hidden jelly bears to find.
Raid Mode is a much more intense affair, with four players taking on formidable bosses in a bid to earn rare rewards. While there is no fully fleshed-out chat system, there is an emoticon system to share plans and flag specific locations. Should your best-laid plan go awry, then your newfound friends can revive you.
This playtest will give players a choice of six playable cookies, each with its own distinct playstyle to master, with unique ways to tackle fights and puzzles. Should you feel your dough needs to rise more, there are over a baker’s dozen special artefacts to boost stats. Deck out that biscuit and send it into battle all powered up.
Devsisters will be holding a daily raffle for playtesters, with $10 Google Play gift cards up for grabs. Simply upload of screenshot of yourself playing CookieRun: Tower of Adventures on Instagram, Facebook, or TwiX with the hashtag CookieRun_TOA and GooglePlayGames to be in with a chance to win.
