It seems like Sony and Guerrilla are preparing to release a new edition of Horizon Forbidden West for the PlayStation 5. The open world action RPG originally launched for PS5 and PS4 in February last year, while now, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition has been rated for PS5 by Singapore’s ratings board, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
Based on the name, one would assume the game’s Complete Edition will include both, the base experience, as well as Burning Shores, the expansion that launched for PS5 earlier this year. Sony has, of course, yet to make an official announcement regarding the same, though given the fact that certification ratings generally tend to happen late in the behind-the-scenes process, it’s possible that a confirmation might not be too far away.
The IMDA rating only mentions PS5 as a platform, though it should be interesting to see whether the Complete Edition also launches for PC, following in Horizon Zero Dawn’s footsteps.
Horizon Forbidden West is available on PS5 and PS4, while Burning Shores is available only on PS5. You can read our review of the base game through here, and our review of the expansion through here.
