During the explosive legal battle, Ally plunged into the drama and told Rebecca she 'wanted to be a fly on the wall' in her Leicester City player husband Jamie's dressing room.

Ally was previously in talks to go to the jungle in 2019 and 2022, but backed out due to a fear of cockroaches.

Explaining why he turned down the show earlier, the former footballer said: 'I'm not a fan of cockroaches.

'The bit at the beginning where you jump out of a helicopter or a plane – I love doing that. But then the rest is downhill.

'You don't know until you're there, but actually being in a coffin with rats and snakes – from where I'm sitting now – I don't think it bothers me that much.'

An ITV spokesperson said: 'If any names are suggested for I'm a celebrity… get me out of here! Speculations.'

Coleen is said to have been paid more than Nigel Farage's £1.5 million last year.

Senior costs judge Andrew Gordon-Sager has now told Rebecca to pay an extra £100,000 within 21 days, following the latest hearing which began last week.

He said: 'I think there is some scope for further payments into the account so the defendant (Ms Rooney) is not excluded from her costs and I think it should not exceed £100,000.'

The hearing, which neither woman attended, dealt with a number of preliminary issues before a full 'line-by-line' assessment of costs would take place at a later date, which would determine the total amount due.

Judge Gordon-Sager said this could happen as early as 2025, but added: 'The parties need to get on with it and put it behind them.'

He said: 'Realistically, it (tax-by-tax assessment) will probably be next year, hopefully early next year.'

In 2019, Colin publicly claimed Ms Vardy's account was the source behind three stories in the Sun newspaper that contained fake details she had published on her personal Instagram profile.

These include her traveling to Mexico for a 'gender selection' procedure, planning a return to TV and flooding the basement of her home.

After a high-profile hearing, Ms Justice Stein ruled in Colin's favor in July 2022, finding that the post was 'substantially true'.

The judge said Rebecca's agent, Caroline Watt, may have passed the information on to the newspaper. And the Leicester star's wife was aware of and condoned this behaviour.

At the latest hearing, Rebecca's representative Jamie Carpenter KC said in written submissions that Coleen's claimed legal bill was £1,833,906.89, three times her 'agreed costs of £540,779.07'.

He said the bill was 'drafted without sufficient care' and had a 'kitchen sink' approach, and included '£120,000 in costs which Mrs Rooney is not entitled to'.

But Robin Dunne, for Colin, said in his written submissions that Ms Vardy had shown 'bad conduct' in the case and that the costs would have been lower 'had she conducted this case appropriately'.

He added: 'It hurts Ms Vardy to now say that Ms Rooney's costs, which were directly caused by her conduct, were unjustified.'
