Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen is quite an exciting story that features Yuji and many other sorcerers being pitted against powerful curses. This story is quite interesting and is largely battle-focused. With that, JJK has reeled in quite a lot of fans and it is certainly one of the best-selling stories at the moment.
Jujutsu Kaisen: 13 Strongest Powers Of Sukuna
Sukuna is arguably the most powerful character in Jujutsu Kaisen, and here are some of his most powerful abilities.
While the fights in the story are absolutely sensational, the same cannot be said for the cast of characters. JJK has one of the weakest casts in any anime series and this is especially true when it comes to the female characters. Most of these characters don’t even have defined goals or dreams and, at the same time, others are simply written out of the plot for one reason or another.
10 Gojo Satoru
The Strongest Modern Sorcerer
It might be surprising for the fans to see Gojo here, however, the fact is, Gojo is in desperate need of more screen time. Fans have focused on Gojo quite a bit in the story, however, whenever something big is to happen, Gojo is written out of the plot in one way or another.
During the Kyoto Goodwill Event, Gojo was held out largely due to a barrier. He was sealed away in Shibuya, and simply killed off in the Culling Game. Gojo needed a lot more attention in the story and, when looking at his major involvements, there is quite a lot of unfulfilled potential there for this character, which is truly sad.
9 Nobara Kugisaki
One Of The Main Characters
Nobara is yet another character in JJK who was largely underutilized. She held tremendous potential and, as one of the three main cast members of the story, one would expect more from the author when it comes to her character.
Sadly, Nobara got involved in a few fights that gave the fans hope and was immediately killed off in the Shibuya Incident.
8 Kasumi Miwa
One Of Kyoto’s Most Interesting
Kasumi Miwa has been handled atrociously in JJK. This character isn’t given many significant strengths at all. She is incredibly weak and, while one might hope that her weakness would lead to some interesting plot point, the story leads her character absolutely nowhere.
Even more unbelievable is the fact that she sacrifices all her power to swing her sword one last time in Shibuya and even that amounts to absolutely nothing. This leaves her character useless at the moment.
7 Yuki Tsukumo
A Special Grade Sorcerer
Yuki Tsukumo is one of the strongest characters in JJK and she is one of the Special Grade Sorcerers. Yuki holds quite an interesting dream which would make one believe that her character would be at the forefront of certain arcs in the story.
Jujutsu Kaisen: 6 Best Quotes By Gojo Satoru
These are the very best quotes said by Gojo Satoru in JJK.
However, once again, this is another character that meets a terrible fate in the story. Yuki is barely focused on, and when her character is given a role, she is killed off immediately after, which makes the whole point of introducing her in the first place kind of moot.
6 Aoi Todo
A Grade 1 Sorcerer
Aoi is an incredibly fun character that fans get to witness in the first season of JJK. He plays a big role in the fight against Hanami and, later on, in Shibuya, he plays a big role in the fight against Mahito as well.
However, he completely vanishes after that, never to return again. The handling of this character is atrocious by the author and fans certainly want Gege to focus more on him.
5 Noritoshi Kamo
A Sorcerer From An Exalted Family
Kamo is from one of the three exalted families in the JJK world and fans know that this character possesses quite a lot of potential, especially due to his inherited Cursed Technique.
Sadly, Kamo is barely utilized in the story. There is nothing significant that he has done in the series so far and that is unlikely to change in the future as well.
4 Toge Inumaki
Semi-Grade 1 Sorcerer
Toge Inumaki possessed one of the most exciting abilities that fans know of in JJK and that is cursed speech. However, when it was revealed that Yuta can use the same technique as well, his importance in the plot completely died down.
In most story arcs, he does absolutely nothing and, now that Yuta can use his ability better than him, the author simply relies on him whenever the need arises.
3 Momo Nishimiya
Third-Year Kyoto Jujutsu High Sorcerer
Momo Nishimiya is yet another female character in JJK that is horribly mistreated. She doesn’t have a major role in any story arc and it feels as if the author has simply introduced her to stand around and do nothing.
Momo has not played a major role in any arc in the story and it is highly unlikely that she will end up playing any role in the future as well.
2 Utahime Iori
Semi-Grade 1 Sorcerer
One of the most underutilized female characters in JJK, Utahime is from the same generation as Gojo himself. While most of the male characters receive quite a lot of attention, Utahime is cast aside. Fans don’t even get to see her do anything significant in the story and that is a true shame.
She might not be the strongest of the lot, however, giving her any role to justify her being in the series is necessary and the author once again fails at this.
1 Shoko Ieri
Doctor, Gojo And Geto’s Friend
One of the most underutilized characters in the series who is also horribly written is none other than Shoko. Shoko belonged to the group of Gojo and Geto. While her other two compatriots received major roles in the story, Shoko was treated as nothing more than a plot device.
She simply exists so the author has a means to heal people. Essentially, whenever someone important gets injured and the author needs a way to heal someone, he relies on Shoko, which the fans don’t even get to see. Her sole purpose is to heal people in the story, most of which happens off-screen. The writing of the character is so bad that replacing her with a magic drug that would heal people when they take it would absolutely take away nothing from the story at all.
