Modern Warfare 3: Can you game share on Xbox?
With Modern Warfare 3’s campaign in early access, you might be wondering if you play with your friend who doesn’t have the Xbox via game share. At the time of writing this guide, there’s no solid answer. However, according to some users, you might not be able to game share at all.
It should be noted that with the game being in early access, certain features like game share might not be available till the full release on November 10th. Even though things like cross-play and cross-progression might be apparent, expect more from Modern Warfare 3 upon its release date.
So if you’re planning to play Zombies with your friend, my suggestion would be to wait till the game fully comes out.
How to game share on the Xbox
If game sharing does become a feature in Modern Warfare 3, use the steps below to enable it.
- Sign in to your account from the Xbox make sure you’re account is signed on because you have the rights to play the game.
- Press the Xbox button on the controller and head to the bar on the left. From here, add the account you want to game share with.
- Sign in to the other account.
- After the other account is signed in, make sure both your main and the other account are logged in at the same time.
- When this is done, navigate to the settings and look for the Personalization option.
- Press on My Home Xbox option, and then hit “Make this my home Xbox”
- To game share, sign in on the other Xbox you’re playing with. Then repeat the steps above. Then set that Xbox as your home Xbox as well.
Once you’ve done this, game sharing should be enabled allowing you to play games that you don’t technically own.
