The UK boxed sales charts data for the week ending November 11th is here, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has unsurprisingly taken the top spot.
For the last few weeks, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have jostled for supremacy in the chart, but Call of Duty is seemingly still a juggernaut that cannot be stopped.
Modern Warfare 3 is one of three new entries in the charts this week, but (relatively) old hand EA Sports FC 24 takes second place. Looks like those 14.5 million active accounts are paying off for EA.
Numbers three and four are occupied by the aforementioned Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, respectively, so they’re not out for the count yet.
In fifth place, it’s Football Manager 2024, which is always a solid prospect. Hey, if you don’t want to play on the pitch, maybe you’d prefer to be shouting at your players from the benches!
Sixth place goes to Nintendo Switch Sports, and seventh goes to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, for which the last wave of track and character DLC arrived last week.
In eighth place, it’s Hogwarts Legacy. The magical RPG topped sales charts earlier this year when it was released for last-gen machines, and the fact it’s still hanging around in the top ten is testament to its popularity.
Minecraft is in ninth place, because apparently, there are still gamers out there who don’t own a boxed copy of the game. Who’d have thought?
Last but not least, it’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which brings up tenth place. Will its sales performance be enough to convince Ubisoft to keep making back-to-basics stealth games? Let’s hope so.
That’s all for this week! Will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 retain its crown for next week, or will its rather mixed reception bring it down? Stick around to find out.
