According to a known CoD insider, a range of new content from franchises for Modern Warfare II and Warzone Season 6 could be coming, including Spawn, Diablo characters, Evil Dead content, and more.
CharlieIntel, a known leaker in the Call of Duty community, shared some screenshots of different characters and bundle teasers that they allege are coming in the game’s Season 6. Some of these tweets include characters like Inarus from Diablo, a Doom Bundle, and Alucard from the Hellsing series. There are no in-game screenshots or other assets shown, so this should be taken with a grain of salt for now.
If this turns out to be true, it seems like Activision is leaning more into the fun side with its branded content in a move away from the more realistic and grimy aesthetics some fans have come to expect. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone recently made headlines when they added both Nicki Minaj and Lara Croft.
If this proves successful, players are likely to see even more collaborations from other IPs in the new Call of Duty titles, with the potential for specific themes like the seemingly horror aesthetic being alleged.
