American singer Bruce Springsteen says the music industry 'puts too much pressure on young people' Liam Paine Death in Argentina.

The One Direction singer, 31, fell 45 feet from a third floor into the courtyard of the Casa Sir Hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday.

Speaking to the Telegraph, the legendary 75-year-old musician said: “It's not unusual in my line of work.

'This is normal. It is a business that puts a lot of pressure on young people.

'Young people do not yet have the inner ease or instinct to protect themselves from the many things that come with success and fame.

'So they get lost in difficult and often painful (things)… whether it's drugs. “Alcohol should relieve that pressure.”

He understands this best from his own experience, as he has had his own struggle with different things.

Springsteen described his depression in his memoir, Born to Run, and said he was “close to the bottom.”

'I don't even know if I'm still hitting. I can make that decision now and choose my last moment as my rock or I can reach a new low.'

He admitted to suffering “social anxiety” and “stress” throughout the years of being famous, and spoke about the strain on his mental health as a member of a boy band who doesn't have the freedom to go anywhere.

Meanwhile, speaking to Ant Middleton on his show Straight Talk in 2019, he also admitted he was “very lucky to still be here”.

Argentine prosecutors said investigations into Liam's fall were so far “inconclusive.”

He died from multiple injuries and “internal and external hemorrhages,” according to the autopsy.

Liam fell 45 feet from the third floor in the courtyard of the Casa Sur hotel in the Argentine capital on Wednesday, before doctors confirmed his death.

The star had arrived in South America on September 30 with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, planning to spend only “five days” in Argentina and stay two weeks.

Police were called to the hotel following reports of an aggressive person under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Shortly afterwards, workers heard a loud bang in the hotel courtyard before the Wolverhampton-born singer's body was found shortly after 5pm local time.

Shocked fans gathered outside after police cordoned off the area while forensic investigators in white protective suits and blue gloves came and went.

The star allegedly behaved disorderly in the hotel lobby and smashed his laptop before being escorted to his room, according to local media.
