Lucy Graham officially accepted her new husband, Sam Burgess, surnamed Italia, after they tied the knot in a secret wedding.
NRL great Sam, 35, and hairdresser Lucy, 33, exchanged vows in front of their loved ones in a romantic ceremony at Villa Aurelia in Rome on Sunday.
They already shared a gallery of beautiful photos from their special day on Instagram while giving a glimpse of their lavish nuptials.
Now, Lucy has taken a big step in her married life just days after her wedding, as she officially took her new husband's surname, Sam.
She changed her Instagram name from 'Lucy Graham' to 'Lucy Burgess' and updated her username to 'ItsLucyBurgess' to reflect her nickname change.
Sam's ex-wife Phoebe is a new addition to the Burgess clan, as she still uses her married name and goes by 'mrsphoeburgess' on Instagram.
Phoebe has no longer used her maiden name, Hook, and revealed she will keep Sam's surname as will her children – daughter Poppy, seven, and son Billy, five.
Phoebe was asked about changing her name during a wide-ranging interview with journalist Mia Freedman on the Filter podcast in 2021.

Lucy has taken a big step in her married life just days after tying the knot, as she officially adopted her new husband's surname, Sam, on her Instagram page.
She told the Mamamia founder that although her maiden name is Hook on her passport and email, she wants to keep her children's surnames.
“I drop my kids off at school every day and there's a big sign on my car that says Burgess, the three of us are Burgess because that's his name, so I deserve to have the same name as my kids,” she said.
Although she is now divorced, Phoebe described the decision as “choosing to be part of a divided family” and a “personal choice.”
'I choose mine a little. This is my story. Where I come from' he said firmly.
Those were the decisions I made wholeheartedly at that time. And it's like carrying those scars with a little pride.”
Sam and Phoebe married in 2015, but split in late 2018, rekindling their romance in early 2019.
They separated permanently on October 2 of that year and then divorced and Phoebe moved to Bowral with their children.

In October 2022, Sam went public with his new girlfriend Lucy and proposed to her a few months later in June 2023.
They welcomed their daughter Robbie, now 13 months old, in September 2023, less than a year after going public with their romance.
The following month the family moved to the UK when Sam took up the position of head coach at Warrington Wolves Rugby League Club.
On Sunday, the couple tied the knot at Villa Aurelia, a 17th-century baroque property perched atop Rome's walls with stunning views of the city.
Weddings start at $18,000 in this magnificent setting, which can accommodate up to 300 guests.
Lucy looked divine in designer Paula Nadal's champagne-toned dress, which featured a structured bodice that fell to a voluminous floor-length skirt.
The couple made sure the day was part of the celebrations as they sweetly hugged their daughter Robi throughout the wedding day.
