One Piece: Every Character That Sanji Couldn’t Beat On His Own, Ranked
Sanji is one of the strongest characters in One Piece, but even he requires help from time to time.
Jewelry Bonney is Kuma’s adoptive daughter, and she is a Celestial Dragon by birth. However, she has been hounded by the World Government because of her past. Luckily, Bonney has managed to survive by using her own strength and sometimes the help of others. Over the years, Bonney has accomplished a lot, which has made her one of the most promising pirates in One Piece.
5 Running Away From The World Government
Escaping From The Clutches Of Evil
The World Government is the biggest and most powerful in One Piece. There are a ton of different nations that have sworn fealty to the World Government. Despite its dark secrets, the organization has managed to survive for several centuries, and that is because of its ability to hide secrets.
The World Government is extremely thorough in its approach. In most cases, the organization doesn’t take prisoners. Instead, it kills everyone it deems to be a threat. However, the World Government has committed blunders too, one of which involved sparing Bonney. The organization had the Supernova at its mercy, but she managed to escape not once but twice. Considering Bonney’s age, it is fascinating that she managed to pull it off.
4 Taking Down A Cipher Pol Agent
Beating Alpha With Her Power
After Vegapunk performed the surgery on Bonney, she was supposed to be sent to the Sorbet Kingdom. At the time, she was still a child and could hardly discern good from bad. The idea was to keep Kuma away from her. To make sure that the father and daughter never saw each other again, the World Government decided to send Cipher Pol agents undercover to keep an eye on Bonney.
One Piece: 7 Characters With Most Victories, Ranked
These One Piece characters have won the most fights.
When Bonney tried to sneak out of the kingdom, Alpha, one of the Cipher Pol agents, decided to chase her. Nobody in Bonney’s crew was strong enough to beat her, so Bonney decided to take matters into her own hands. She used her Devil Fruit to tap into an alternate future, which caused her arm to increase in size, just like Luffy’s Gear Third. With this power, Bonney effectively defeated Alpha and escaped.
3 Becoming A Supernova
Became A Reputed Pirate
The world of One Piece is a dangerous place where even the strongest pirates are unsafe. Aside from dealing with the World Government, pirates also have to fight other pirates and criminals. This is one of the main reasons why it is so difficult to rise to the top of the ranks. But an individual with indomitable will and enough strength can achieve the unthinkable.
Bonney is the best example of mental fortitude. She was just 9 years old when she set sail from the Sorbet Kingdom. Bonney had no prior experience, but she still managed to survive the harsh waters. There is no doubt that she had to fight on her journey, and, given the fact that she stayed alive, it is safe to say that she won almost all of them. Bonney also managed to accumulate a bounty of over 300 million berries, which is not a small feat. Her accomplishments eventually led to her being named a Supernova and a member of the Worst Generation.
2 Mastering Her Devil Fruit
An Expert At Using Her Powers
For a long time, it was unclear what kind of Devil Fruit Bonney had eaten. It wasn’t until the Egghead arc that Oda disclosed that Bonney had the power of the Toshi Toshi no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit. It allows her to alter the age of the people around her. This is a strong ability that lets Bonney disarm her opponents by turning them into very old people or children.
One Piece: The Most Legendary Right-Hand Men In The Series, Ranked
These One Piece characters left behind a solid legacy, making them nothing less than legends.
Aside from this ability, Bonney’s Devil Fruit lets her transform into any future forms. She displayed this power on Egghead Island when she morphed into a bigger and more muscular version of herself. Once again, it is surprising that Bonney has gained such control over her Devil Fruit in such a short period of time.
1 Learning The Truth About Her Father
Managed To Uncover The Truth
Jewelry Bonney was born to Ginny and a Celestial Dragon, so she was a royal by birth. However, Ginny was forced to leave Marijoa with an infant, Bonney. Ginny made her way to the church in Sorbet Kingdom, where she called the Revolutionary Army. As soon as Kuma heard about Ginny, he immediately used his Devil Fruit to travel to her location. By the time he reached there, it was already too late. So, the responsibility to raise Bonney fell on the shoulders of Kuma.
After he learned that she was infected with the Sapphire Scale Disease, he made it his life’s goal to find a cure for Bonney. His extensive search led him to Dr. Vegapunk. The scientist had the resources to save Bonney, but Saturn stated multiple conditions that needed to be fulfilled before the operation could commence. Kuma happily accepted, but it led to his separation from Bonney. After Bonney escaped from the Sorbet Kingdom, she traveled a lot before she finally got a chance to learn the truth about Kuma’s transformation into a cyborg.
